Departure from Los Cristianos marina, with a ferry crossing to San Sebastián de la Gomera, harbour and capital of the island. Once at this point, the ascent to the Parque National Garajonay, a paradise of laurisilva and a Cultural Heritage of Humanity nature reserve, will start. A stop off will be made at Degollada de Peraza viewpoint where guests have the opportunity to enjoy the fabulous panoramic views out over the island. The route will continue past La Palmita, through the national park before arriving at the little villages of Las Rosas and Agulo. Here, a stop will be made for lunch, which may be enjoyed in the restaurant La Gomera where guests will witness a live demonstration of the particularly famous "silbo gomero", a peculiar local method of communication. Time permitting and following a hearty lunch,guests will see the visitor centre (closed on Mondays) where the "juego de bolas" may be observed. The return trip will be via the splendid Hermigua Valley to San Sebastián where guests can relax and see the historical remains where Christobal Columbus' passed before his departure for America: Torre del Conde or the house of Columbus.
